Dearest Simmers, let us ring in the New Year with more winners.<\/P>

I believe anyone in the Sim who does not bother to enter jockey selections for their runners would benefit greatly from reading this article.<\/P>

God Bless Ye Merry Simulated racers, and let me offer to all a gift of true value.<\/P>

What follows below is a list of who I see as the best four jocks at every Sim track. They have the highest in-the-money and winning percentages at each track for the past year. (These starts are soon to be re-set, you know.)<\/P>

Some Simmers doubt the role of Sim jockeys. I will say this: Two horses are entered in the same race. You don’t know anything about either horse. One has a jock who wins 20 percent, the other wins 10 percent. I will suggest that over the long term, the 20 percent jock has twice the chance of winning as the 10 percent jock. Simple enough, and it’s rather hard for me to believe that there are many an experienced Simmer who continue to ignore the jockey selection process.<\/P>

Some say it is tedious. Up until now, I have said this is an advantage for minor operators like me, who don’t have to enter so many jockey selections. This list ought to make it easier, though.<\/P>

Also, when you get a good jock, he or she may very well make up for your lack of training or spotting skill in any particular contest. I don’t know about anyone else, but I need all the help I can get. Just like they say, “breed the best to the best and hope for the best,” we can say, “hire the best jock, let him or her decide best, and hope for the best.” I regularly get one of my four jockey selections, which is the number I suggest for every entry. I am convinced it makes a big difference in both my win percentage and my ITM percentage.<\/P>

So, I would suggest all players who do not have a list already copy and paste the following into a Word Document, and use it when you make your selections. If you are a new player who would like to win more and hit the board more, and you have not been paying much attention to jockey selections, I believe this will make a big difference.
