High on J.B. ran away in the first of two stakes races in Cali on Saturday in a wire-to-wire 5th win of her career for owner mybaby. <\/B><\/FONT>Marc Staples guided High on J.B. to the early lead with Tejano River dueling a length back. My Turnnow sat back in third hoping for both to tire. At the back of the back was trailer Salty’s Gone and midpack horses Lite Pony and favorite Danish Pastry. Tejano River under the expertise guidance of 3% jockey George Mesler started to die a bit after the half. At that moment My Turnnow charged into second and Danish Pastry being patient in third. Marc Staples started using the whip as Danish Pastry moved within a length and My Turnnow gaining a few meters every stride. High On J.B. and My Turnnow were right together in a photo finish with Danish Pastry 3\/4 of a length back in third. The photo went by a nose in favor of High On J.B., son of High-Rise(IRE).
