When there\u2019s a restricted stakes race, it\u2019s worth taking a shot against what you hope is easier competition, especially when the horse in question is a lightly raced two year old.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>That seems to be the case for most of the starters in the DPCD Juvenile Sprint.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>It\u2019s still a decent group of babies.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Running them down by post position:<\/P> 1.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/SPAN><\/SPAN>Italian Ice (IRE)<\/B> from the nathndtroi<\/I> stable, at 7\/1, has run the best speed figure of any of the entries, winning a MSW in his last out with a very nice 88 spf.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>A son of Street Cry (IRE) out of the multiple stakes-winning Seeking the Gold mare Sherbet, he\u2019s her second foal to race; a daughter by Summer Squall recently broke her maiden in her 4th<\/SUP> start.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>This boy seems to\u00a0 <\/SPAN>have the speed \u2013 the question is, does he have the experience?<\/P> 2.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/SPAN><\/SPAN>The logical favorite today at 3\/1 is sallygee\u2019s<\/I> Last Empire<\/B>, the only foal out of the very well bred Sal Is My Dad, by Storm Cat.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>He\u2019s a son of 3.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/SPAN><\/SPAN>At 7\/2, zewango\u2019s<\/I> expensively bred In A Simple Rhyme<\/B> (Forty Niner x Mr. Prospector x Secretariat) has done well in his brief career, with a win and a second in his two starts.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>He broke his maiden last out at 6 \u00bd furlongs with an 82 speed figure.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>While his high inbreeding quotient (by a son of Mr. Prospector out of a daughter of Mr. Prospector) doesn\u2019t bode well for his intelligence, it could work well for his speed.<\/P> 4.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/SPAN><\/SPAN>C.J.\u2019s Inthepulpit<\/B>, by Pulpit out of My Christine, by Unbridled, owned, unsurprisingly, by cjwalker<\/I>, with a top speed figure of 76 \u2013 in a second-place effort \u2013 may be in over his head.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>With his pedigree (Affirmed as dam\u2019s damsire), you\u2019d think he\u2019d like distance and turf, though so far, he doesn\u2019t appear to like either of them.\u00a0 12\/1<\/P> 5.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 <\/SPAN><\/SPAN>Knightbred <\/I>has entered Drop Down<\/B>, a son of Commemorate x Dixieland Band x Mr. Prospector.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>He\u2019s made 4 starts, with a win and a third in much less competitive venues;
