It didn\u2019t quite end up being another Breeder\u2019s Bowl, but DelPenn\u2019s $500,000 Grade I Dangerous Reward Handicap for 2 year old fillies at seven eights of a mile has turned out to be a very interesting race to handicap, with fillies like Arrogance hoping to regain former glory and fillies like Wango Tango who hope to show continued improvement.<\/P>

I\u2019m about the easiest handicapper to beat.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>How will you do here?<\/P>

  1. On the rail is Giggly Girl<\/B> (Housebuster x Coastal) from the Bombsaway<\/I> (11%) stable.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>She is three for four, but has only hit the low 80\u2019s in her speed figures.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Plenty of room to improve.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Bombsaway made this a last minute entry, apparently believing that Giggly has a good shot against this field.<\/LI><\/OL>

    \u00a0<\/o:p><\/P>

    1. Silly Mid Off<\/B> (Flying Spur x Damascus<\/st1:place><\/st1:City>) won The Lever in the Heirs Handicap against a small field in her fifth start.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Now making her tenth start for trainer CJT3 <\/I>(10%), she has yet to threaten since.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Her other tries in graded company were not pretty.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Not today.<\/LI><\/OL>

      \u00a0<\/o:p><\/P>

      1. Zewango4<\/I> (19%) is a fairly new stable for the Zewango empire, and with horses like this, it\u2019s off to a great start.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Wango Tango <\/B>(Pine Bluff x Affirmed) is two for two, including a nice stalking win in The Rosey West Challenge Stakes, where she beat some promising fillies.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Would not be a surprise.<\/LI><\/OL>

        \u00a0<\/o:p><\/P>

        1. Lucky\u2019s Brook Lynn<\/B> (Kingmambo x Danzig<\/st1:place>) has already won over $120,000 and has finished in the money in all eight lifetime starts.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>In her last start she earned a 92 speed figure, tied for best in the field, while winning The Bart\u2019s Sum Special.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>The MrLucky229<\/I> (20%) filly doesn\u2019t seem to have any knocks.<\/LI><\/OL>

          \u00a0<\/o:p><\/P>

          1. When this race was carded many thought the Breeders Bowl runners might show up for a rematch here.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Well, the only one to show up is Rosette<\/B> (Empire Maker x Kingmambo).\u00a0 <\/SPAN>She was prominent early in the BB, but faded badly.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>She has a better chance to last against this group for trainer Nathndtroi<\/I> (7%).\u00a0 <\/SPAN>The return to a one turn race should help as both of her wins and her one second came in sprints.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Don\u2019t ignore.<\/LI><\/OL>

            \u00a0<\/o:p><\/P>

            1. Bourbon Alley <\/B>(Dixieland Band x Damascus<\/st1:place><\/st1:City>) is only the third highest money winner this year in BlackSwan\u2019s<\/I> (21%) stable.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>The barn has taken in over $1,000,000 in 2005.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Very sharp Bourbon has won three of her last four races, including her last outing, The Mama Dance Stakes.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Speed figures, form, and connections make her dangerous here, and she is co-favored.<\/LI><\/OL>

              \u00a0<\/o:p><\/P>

              1. I\u2019ve Met Barb<\/B> (Empire Maker x Danzig<\/st1:place>) is the most accomplished two year old of Super30\u2019s<\/I> (18%) 10 two year olds.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>She has a third in the Grade III Buckeye Debutante and is coming off a win in The Big M challenge.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>She has more success in graded company than most in here.<\/LI><\/OL>

                \u00a0<\/o:p><\/P>

                1. Co-favorite Deseeker<\/B> (Dehere x Seeking The Gold) matches Lucky\u2019s Brook Lynn\u2019s 92 speed figure, owns the second best earnings in the field, and has been in the money in all eight starts.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>In fact, the only time she didn\u2019t finish first or second was on a sloppy track.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Pace handicappers will appreciate her early pace style in a race that is not overloaded with early speed types.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>The only knock on the RockRiver2 <\/I>(11%) trainee might be her lack of graded experience. <\/LI><\/OL>

                  \u00a0<\/o:p><\/P>

                  1. Celebre Slap<\/B> (Peintre Celebre x Dixie<\/st1:place> Brass) tried graded stakes on turf a couple times and ran to her long odds.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Irishman2<\/I> (11%) seasoned her with a couple allowance wins on dirt and tries stakes again here.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>She should fare better here on this surface and this distance than she did in her other stake tries.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>The two for two dirt record makes the 18-1 odds worth a second look.<\/LI><\/OL>

                    \u00a0<\/o:p><\/P>

                    1. Three S\u2019s<\/B> (Strong Hope x Our Storm (Storm Cat)) broke her maiden in her last, a four horse stakes in Hong Kong<\/st1:place>.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Bigrama<\/I> (20%) is an excellent trainer and must know something that\u2019s not apparent in the past performances to think she has a shot here.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>I\u2019m willing to be surprised.<\/LI><\/OL>

                      \u00a0<\/o:p><\/P>

                      1. Bbor <\/I>(9%) only has three horses in his barn.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Regal is Bbor<\/B> (Smokester x Olympio) has done well with three wins and five in-the-money finishes in seven starts.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>She makes her stakes debut here and needs to run a better speed figure to have a chance here.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>I\u2019ll pass, but I\u2019ll be rooting for her.<\/LI><\/OL>

                        \u00a0<\/o:p><\/P>

                        1. Six months ago, Arrogance<\/B> (Real Quiet x Lord Well (Seattle Slew)) became\u00a0one of\u00a0only two fillies in the field to win a graded stakes when she won the Grade III Desert Filly Juvenile in Dubai<\/st1:place><\/st1:City>.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Unfortunately, the Illbred<\/I> (15%) trainee hasn\u2019t been in the money since then.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>To her credit, she has been running against some tough fields, she\u2019s had some nice speed figures, and the return to a shorter distance may be the wakeup she needs.\u00a0 <\/SPAN><\/LI><\/OL>

                          \u00a0<\/o:p><\/P>

                          1. Top jockey J Benisz opts for the top rated filly: Miss Congeniality<\/B> (Congaree x Tropical Smurf (Mr. Greely)).\u00a0 <\/SPAN>It is not often you get 9-1 odds on a filly that is the top rated, gets the top jockey, has by far the top earnings, owns a graded win at the track with the same rider, and is unbeaten in five starts on the surface.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>I haven\u2019t picked a winner since back when you could find someone who would admit voting for George Bush.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Sorry to jinx you, Paddy<\/I> (8%).<\/LI><\/OL>
