Welcome to <\/SPAN>Wisconsin<\/SPAN><\/st1:place><\/st1:State> on this chilly Saturday morning.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>We have a small field of five colts trying to reach the wire first here in today\u2019s feature, the Cool Future <\/I>Bonanza.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Our five hopefuls will be going 7 furlongs on a Firm Turf course in this race for 2 year olds. \u00a0\u00a0<\/SPAN>Let\u2019s see who we have here today:<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

Breaking from the rail in PP1, we have Explosive Touch #85907<\/B>.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>The brown kibs<\/I> trained colt is a son of Diamond out of a Touch Gold mare.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>He has started seven times so far in his career with three wins.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>However all of those races have come on the dirt.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>This stakes will be his first attempt on the lawn, so anything could happen.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>His highest sp to date has been an 84 in a conditioned allowance going a mile, so this colt can go the distance without too much trouble, but his success here depends on whether or not he can handle the turf or not.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>He is going off at odds of 5\/2 and has jock D. Markham in the irons.<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

Next, starting from PP2, is Atlantis Found #100858<\/B>, a crown<\/I> trained brown colt.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>This fellow is by Dixieland Band out of Smart Chase (Unbridled x Avatar) and has raced only three times in his career, making him the relative rookie of the group.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>He has only recently broken his maiden, with a win on the turf LTO.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Although he started out on the main track, he has improved nicely since his switch to the grass.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>His high sp of 81 came LTO in his maiden win.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>This come could be up there at the end; however, it is a tough call to make.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>He is the favorite today, going off at 2\/1 and has jockey M. Petersen up.<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

Breaking in the middle, we have Julios Pick #40524, <\/B>who is a tvviewer<\/I> trainee.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>This brown colt is a son of Lujain out of a <\/SPAN>Katowice<\/SPAN><\/st1:place><\/st1:City> mare.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>He is the relative veteran here today, having started eight times so far, winning three of those and coming in second twice.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>This former claimer has only run in one stakes thus far, finishing 5th<\/SUP> over eight lengths behind the winner.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>His high sp to date has been a 78, which came LTO on a yielding course.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>He has raced this distance before, but he did not do too well.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>I am not seeing this fellow making the cut here, but I have been proven wrong before.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>He is the longshot of this race, with odds of 6\/1 and has <\/SPAN>Wisconsin<\/SPAN><\/st1:place><\/st1:State>\u2019s top jock C. Capper in the stirrups today.<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

Next in line, breaking from PP4, is Mandela #64395<\/B>, a biko5<\/I> trained brown colt who is by <\/SPAN>Johannesburg<\/SPAN><\/st1:place><\/st1:City> out of a General Assembly mare.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>This six time starter has won one time, finished second once, and finished third three times.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Like some of the others in this race, this guy began on the main track, but has really improved since his switch to the grass.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>He has been running in solid stakes races since he broke his maiden and has show himself to be a threat in this race.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>He can go the distance no problem and his high sp of 83 came in a stakes race LTO going 7.5 furlongs.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>He should be one to watch in this race.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>He is going off today at 3\/1 odds and has jockey B. Jones in the saddle.\u00a0 <\/SPAN><\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

On the outside, from PP5, we have Honeydew #96825<\/B>, a monolith<\/I> trained brown colt, who is a son of Jade Hunter out of Power Orbit(IRE) (Theatrical(IRE) x Cornish Prince).\u00a0 <\/SPAN>This colt has also started six times, winning once and finishing second four times.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>He may have a slight case of seconditis, but he has still done well in his last two stakes starts.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>This colt can definitely handle the race\u2019s distance, as he ran an 85 in an 8.5 furlong stakes LTO, finishing second.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>That 85 was his career high, and the highest of any horse in this field.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Despite the seconditis, this colt definitely has a chance of at least making the top three in this race.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>He is going off at 5\/2 and has jockey K. Ruettgers in the irons today.<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

This may be a small field, but it will be a close one between a few of these boys.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>I am going to be going with the 5, the 4 and the 3 as my top 3, but not necessarily in that order.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>It should be an interesting race with a couple of speedier horses against a few that like to come from the back, so hang on to your hats.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Good luck to all horses and trainers today and Good Racing!<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
