Hot Sauce DeMoss Slight Favorite In Field Of Six<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/B><\/P>

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/B><\/P>

Nebraska<\/SPAN><\/B><\/st1:place><\/st1:State> -It was a cold and windy morning as I made my way down to the rail.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>I was not sure I would catch any of the entrants for the Three Burg Special going to the track for morning exercise.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>The sky was clear and weather reports indicated that by Saturday it would even be warming up, but today I could hardly wait for the sun to come up.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>The Three Burg Special was named for an 8 YO mare by Loup Sauvage who won four of 34 races including a stake. \u00a0<\/SPAN>She has one foal to race – a winner.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>The race will be run at seven furlongs on the turf and has a purse of $40,000 for 2 YO fillies.<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

The first horse out was a decent looking bay filly by Reset, Hot Sauce DeMoss<\/B> (5\/2).\u00a0 <\/SPAN>She was catlike on her feet, leaping in the air, kicking, bucking and turning her belly up to the sun, as she went around the track with the pony.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>I figured that was where she got her name, because she was so agile, just like her namesake, an NFR bull rider.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Owned and trained by Socalsgrl<\/I><\/B>, she is 5\/6 in the money and has a win and a third from her only two starts on the turf. \u00a0<\/SPAN>She was third last time out in the Hungry Ton and should improve off of that.<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

Nashbark<\/SPAN><\/B> (3\/1) is a Willowisp<\/I><\/B> trainee by Barkersville.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>This will be her first race over the grass.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>She broke her maiden easily her first out and then was entered in an <\/SPAN>Arkansas<\/SPAN><\/st1:place><\/st1:State> allowance where she stumbled home beating only three.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Back at the barn it was discovered that the copper chestnut filly had grabbed a quarter and pulled her shoe off.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>She came by in a strong gallop looking devoid of any lasting injury.<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

Mjollner<\/SPAN><\/B> (3\/1) is owned and trained by Jlracing<\/I><\/B>.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>By Langfuhr, this petite red filly, galloped by like a perfect lady.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>She has not been off the board in her three starts and comes into this race off a second place finish last time out in the Woody’s Affairs.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>If she improves off that she might just get her picture taken.<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

When the rangy dark brown filly Good Cause<\/B> (4\/1) came by under a tight hold, I had to wonder why she was listed at 4\/1.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>Trained by Ck2stable<\/I><\/B>, she is sired by <\/SPAN>Giant’s Causeway<\/SPAN><\/st1:place> and she looked very professional even though she has only two starts.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>She broke her maiden in the Woody’s Affairs, beating Mjollner, and came back in the Deadalive last time out to finish a closing second.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>She should relish the extra distance and in my opinion is the one to beat.<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

Brabarossa<\/SPAN><\/B> (5\/1) is a big good looking filly by Testa Rossa and is trained by <\/SPAN>Brabant<\/SPAN><\/I><\/B><\/st1:place>.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>She came by in a strong gallop and looked very good.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>She is undefeated on the grass and won last time out in a <\/SPAN>Nebraska<\/SPAN><\/st1:place><\/st1:State> allowance, plainly liking this track.\u00a0 <\/SPAN><\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

\u00a0<\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P>

Super5<\/SPAN><\/I><\/B> trains Gale Warning<\/I><\/B> (7\/1) who is a very well bred young lady by <\/SPAN>Monashee<\/SPAN><\/st1:PlaceName> <\/SPAN>Mountain<\/SPAN><\/st1:PlaceType><\/st1:place>.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>The compact, well-muscled, yellow chestnut has never been off the board when running on the turf and has won twice.\u00a0 <\/SPAN>She went wire to wire in her last start in the Veteran Hero but a dismal speed figure must have earned her the longshot status. \u00a0<\/SPAN>\u00a0<\/SPAN>\u00a0<\/SPAN><\/o:p><\/SPAN><\/P><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
