Race: 2664.3615 The Triptych Memorial<\/SPAN> – Grade I – $500,000<\/SPAN><\/B> K\u2019s Addiktion closed from last just getting up at the wire to take this grade I stakes for the slight upset. The slight cut back in distance had no effect on this sprinter. The pace here was not all that fast so K\u2019s Addiktion was only seven and a half lengths off the pace. From there she made a steady drive towards the front really kicking into gear in the stretch. Wondergirl Chipre and The Aus Boss (AUS) were near each other in the early stages of the race. The moved up through the pack rounding the turn for home and into the stretch both runners were striking the front. It looked like a battle between these two with Wondergirl holding a slight edge on The Aus Boss but the Boss was not going away. The Boss moved back at Wondergirl and that is about the time K\u2019s Addiktion came flying to the leaders near the wire to nip them by a half length.<\/SPAN><\/P> \u00a0<\/SPAN> Wondergirl Chipre got the nod for the place in a photo with The Auss Boss (AUS) who had to settle for third. \u00a0<\/SPAN>\u00a0<\/SPAN> Act of the Brave scored an upset here working his way from the back of a twenty horse field. When the gates opened Tete Galactic (IRE) jumped out and set the pace. Usually he is content to press or sit just off the pace but not today. He and Texas Ranger had worked well clear of the field in he early stages. Unprecedented was taken off the early pace for this race sitting about mid pack some seven lengths behind the early pace. Act of the Brave was eighteenth of twenty half way through the race about twelve lengths off the early pace. Tete Galactic (IRE) shook clear of Texas Ranger and opened up a bit on the field taking a near three length lead into the stretch. Unprecedented had worked his way to fourth entering the stretch and was picking up the pace in the stretch along the rail. Act of the Brave was in full flight around the turn for home going from eighteenth to seventh entering the stretch. Act of the Brave kept up his momentum through the stretch roaring past Tete Galactic (IRE) in deep stretch to win by a length and three quarters. Unprecedented kept his late rally going through the stretch passing Tete Galactic (IRE) in deep stretch to get the place. Tete Galactic (IRE) held the show is a pretty quickly run mile event.
