It will be eleven furlongs for horses three years or older. The weather report for the weekend calls for a nice indian summer day with temperatures in the mid 70’s. Since the annual clash between the Wyoming Cowboys and their arch rival Colorado State Rams was last weekend, this would be a great time to come out for a day of racing to forget the thrashing the Cowboys took. The featured $60,000 Pro Farm Memorial should be just the ticket to break you out of the blues. To help entice you, the favorite, an experience Irish horse, has come Wyoming to challenge all comer after a successful career in Europe. So here are the runners for the race.
Bullet Punch entered by imaclown. This dark gray senior colt by Red Bullet comes into this race with a reputation of a hard-nosed competitor. He is always pushing for the lead and seldom left out of the front runners when they cross the wire. Although he seems to have lost a step his feisty competitiveness still makes him worth keeping an eye on.
Wealth By Stealth(IRE) entered by davemac. Coming out of gate two is the Irish sophomore sired by Street Cry. He comes into the race fresh off a win at this distance and has run his top speeds at these medium distance routes. He is a closer and loves coming from the back and trying to catch the other racers off guard. Expect no different strategy this weekend.
State Of The Union entered by darylucla2. This lightly raced sophomore sired by General Meeting has been on the board almost 75% of his races. He started out as a respectable sprinter but a hot walker whispered in the trainer’s ear that the colt could go longer. The trainer actually listened and is delighted he did, as the colt held and even improved his speed ratings. He stumbled last time out but is primed for this race.
Myvan entered by samsonfarm. Gate four has the elder chestnut colt sired by Rainbow Quest. He can run on both surfaces but is a little inconsistent with his running style. This can be attributed to relatively little experience and his uncertainty on using his closing style of running. At time he closes in blazing style and at others he seems to forget he needs to round the corner charging for home. Comes off his first stakes win last time out and hoping that to be the springboard for more to come.
Old Pulpit entered by sunkitten. Pulpit has sired this sophomore colt out of Old Bang (Seeking The Gold). This lightly run colt comes into the race looking for his first stakes win. The trainer made a bold move when he stretched this colt out and changed his running style. Add to that the extensive gate training to get out quicker and at the front with the leader has proven to be a good decision. He is a solid runner now and with practice he could improve greatly.
Dig Me Open entered by goodwin3. This light gray elder colt sired by Open Forum has been given a rest after a grueling early season schedule. He has been racing mainly in the eastern US and rarely makes a trip this far west. The last time he was at altitude he collected a win and is looking to repeat that in Wyoming. He has shown his like for distance racing and is well rested. The two could combine for trouble for the other racers.
Fasliyev Quest(IRE) entered by borsato66. This Irish chestnut horse is sired by Fasliyev and comes in as the favorite. This closer has been on the board in twenty of his twenty-four races with ten wins and doesn’t look to be slowing down. He has spent his entire career in Europe racing and has come to the US looking for more challenges. First up, high altitude, but he does have the hot jockey Jesse Sands in the irons.
Humbolt Station entered by roys. The final entrant is a sophomore by High Yield, and as luck would have it, my boss’ horse (gulp). The colt was slow in getting his maiden taking ten races to achieve this, but once he got the taste of winning he tore up the couple of allowance races he was entered in. So far he has been disastrous at stakes level and may need a little more experience and polish at the lower level. Now, I wonder if I have a job tomorrow?

[2,3,1

post-1025","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","hentry","category-previews","category-reviews","category-uncategorized
["GET
