Advanced to fourth just before the midway point, came through on the rail and took over at the head of the stretch.

SPECIAL OLYMPICS: Broke forwardly into chasing group of four, quickly advanced to lead then group then pull away from them. Took the lead on the turn for home but held it only briefly as Vesan went by. Well clear of the third-place horse.

INCAL: Broke forwardly in close quarters with Blazing Gimlet, got his head and shoulders in front of that one in the early stages. Pressed Special Olympics as Vesan ran by on the rail. Was losing ground late and held off Dwarf for the show money.

DWARF: Reserved early in ninth, advanced on Dark Aurora and passed that one just before the halfway point. Commenced his run and passed horses, but could not quite get up for the show money.

BUDA ROCKS: Broke sixth on equal terms withe the eventual winner. Kept pace with that one in the early stages but could only watch him run away at the halfway point. Not enough run, got passed by Vesan, settled for fifth.

TUTU MARAMBA: Taken far back early, racing next to last, only in front of Will’s Money Maker. Did not pick up any horses until well past the halfway point. Made a late run to pass horses on the outside in the stretch, but failed to catch Buda Rocks and never was a threat.

STREET CROSSING: Taken back early in 10th, racing on equal terms with top qualifier Topstop. Earned an advantage on that one at the halfway point but showed only mild interest. Passed late by Tutu Maramba.

TOPSTOP: Disappointing run for the No. 1 qualifier. Took back in 11th and advanced only a little bit. Always outrun by Street Crossing, who was only seventh.

NOBULLETCANSTOPME: Away quickly to clear advantage. Lone speed in the early stages. Maybe this horse can dodge bullets but he could not dodge his distance limitation in the Woody Ford. Threw out the anchor at the halfway mark and faded to ninth.

TYLACINE: Broke forwardly outside a chasing group of four but became one-paced just before the halfway point. His chance to win the Woody Ford became extinct with more than a half mile to run.

WALL STREET GHOST: Spooked out of the gate and taken back to 12th. Fueled doubt from skeptics when he failed to materialize in the stretch. Maybe he will make a better showing in his next race.

WILL’S MONEY MAKER: Walked out of the gate dead last, dropped far back and never threatened.

DARK AURORA: Taken back in eighth early. Horses sired by Taninto Gimlet won both the 2000 Guineas and the Bluegrass Derby.
