A full field of fourteen runners have come together for ‘The Stanford’ in New York, however this field is truely highlighted by the two heavy favourites: COMMONWEALTH READY<\/strong> who is expected to make a push from the front, and GOING TO THE INSID<\/strong> who should be leading the charge from the back.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

COMMONWEALTH READY<\/strong> has successfully charged to the lead in all three career starts, twice holding on for the gate to wire victory, and fell just over a length off holding on in its graded debut last time out. CURVED ROAD and AFROED will also be looking to challenge for the early lead, but both appear to be a half step behind COMMONWEALTH READY<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

CAFE WHO is another contender in the pack, and is expected to sit just off the lead in hopes of holding on to push ahead as the horses come down the stretch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From the back, GOING TO THE INSID<\/strong> is favoured to lead the closing pack into the stretch as it has done in all races thus far where he mounted comebacks in all races finishing at worst only a half length away from taking the victory. DISS N THAT and THE FIRST ERUPTION are also expected to follow GOING TO THE INSID<\/strong> down the stretch, but will need to kick their closing speeds up a notch to keep up to GOING TO THE INSID<\/strong>‘s closing pace.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
