BENEFIT ANALYSIS<\/em>, TEMPT THE LION<\/em>, FLEETWOOD COBRA, and GILFOYLE are projected to form the lead pack. BENEFIT ANALYSIS<\/em> went wire-to-wire in her debut and only race, while TEMPT THE LION<\/em> wired the field in her 2nd outing after stalking the leader in her debut. Both should fight for the holeshot, however they will be closely followed by FLEETWOOD COBRA and GILFOYLE who are both projected to sit within a length of the leaders making their push by the third checkpoint.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

SUNDAY KEGGER<\/strong>, HIGHEST ARCHANGEL<\/strong>, and ELUSIVE MELODY<\/strong> are the three favourites in the field, and all three are expected to sit within two lengths of the leaders. SUNDAY KEGGER<\/strong> has been picked as the odds-on favourite, however she is also the only runner in the field who has yet to notch a victory having been overtaken by a quarter length at the wire. HIGHEST ARCHANGEL<\/strong> is coming off a Grade 3 victory in her last race, as the only graded winner in the pack she will be expected to put up a fight for a perfect graded record. ELUSIVE MELODY<\/strong> is undefeated after posting a huge speed jump in her stakes debut, which is the high speed for this field, if she can hold form its hard to think she won’t be ready for her graded debut. There would be little surprise if these three manage to stick within a length of eachother all race and pull off a 1-2-3 finish, the order though is likely a toss-up.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

MCCRAKEN RUM<\/em>, KOWHAI<\/em>, FLEETWOOD BURG, SCAT DANCING DEB<\/em> and TARA TELLER<\/em> are all projected to sit to the back of the field out of the gate looking to make their push late down the stretch. Most of the closing pack are long-shots who will need a huge jump in speed to be able to close in on the favourites who should be able to ensure the eventual winner will put up a top 2yo run. FLEETWOOD BURG stands out among the closers with a stakes win under her belt as well as a 3rd place victory in a May Grade 3 race, if she can show improvement she may be able to mount a push from the back of the pack.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
